editHi wikipedians, based on the brands listed the list's content seems focused on "aircraft" scale modelling; however the title gived the idea to encompass scale modelling in general. To me there are two possible approaches to fix this:
- Add other scale model kit manufacturers that produce subkjects other than aircraft (e.g.: Artesania Latina which produces wooden ship models); or
- Change the list's name to restrict is to aircraft model maunfacturers (however may duplicate other existing lists).
Please let me know your thoughts, and I'm happy to do the legwork. Thanks & regards, DPdH (talk) 06:16, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
- Template:Scale model links here and is used on lots of non-aero pages. I reorganised this list by material to make it easier to mix different model types. So please do add more non-aero manufacturers. There is an existing List of model aircraft manufacturers (and a List of model car brands), so if anybody wants to divide the List of model aircraft manufacturers into separate lists of finished vs kits, that might be useful. — Cheers, Steelpillow (Talk) 12:25, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks for the feedback; I'll review which lists exist today related to "Scale modelling" to have an idea on how to better structure them, and table a proposal. Regards, DPdH (talk) 03:19, 9 January 2014 (UTC)
- Do you know how many manufacturers ever made scale models? Hundreds? or more? Do you want to list up them all?Ootsuka02 (talk) 15:30, 7 January 2014 (UTC)
- Regardless the number (which may be in the thousands!), as a Wikipedia list it shouldn't aim to be "all-inclusive" and should follow existing guidelines. Regards, DPdH (talk) 03:17, 9 January 2014 (UTC)
