The captain and crew of the ship Oneco were landed at Fremantle, Western Australia, by the American whaler James Allen on 21 December 1855. According to the Inquirer newspaper of 2 January 1856 the Oneco had been abandoned off Amsterdam Island. This is in the Indian Ocean, not far from an island called St Paul, so I would say the Oneco was not abandoned off Brazil. 2001:8003:911D:5D00:1DD5:70:15FA:66E2 (talk) 01:28, 10 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
