Complete List?

edit

Is this supposed to be a complete list? Njál 23:06, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Most likely it was to be and was a complete list when compiled. Just today I read that there is a new one on the Chinese island of Hainan, their fourth one. Will soon appear I guess. 101.166.68.175 (talk) 04:49, 28 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Definition

edit

Should we incliude anyrting that launches something capable of reaching an altitude of X metres? Or anything that launches something capable of reaching orbit? Or escaping Earth-gravity? Should we have some criteria here? Rhialto 06:08, 23 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Colours on Map

edit

France should appear as green on the map. French Guiana, as an overseas department, is part of France as much as, say, Hawaii is part of the US.

It would be nice if it said what they meant. Zazaban 18:27, 6 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Shorter names in Spaceport template

Table?

edit

Why are the first three categories in tables and the rest just listed? It should be consistent, and a table would make it a bit easier to read, in my opinion. --Matthew Desjardins 23:56, 7 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I ran out of momentum when tabularizing them a few months ago. Feel free to finish what I started. Rhialto (talk) 10:33, 8 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Moved out

edit

All the lists previously in this article have now been merged with the set of lists previously in Rocket launch site. The result can be found in List of rocket launch sites. In addition, two shorter tables have been constructed in Spaceport, one on spaceports for human launches and one on satellite launch sites. However, there is still quite a lot of remaining work to make the sets of merged lists homogeneous. /216Kleopatra (talk) 13:18, 26 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Gateway?

edit

The noun "gateway" is currently used in every one of the spaceports listed in the first section of the article. Where did this come from? I don't see any source that shows "gateway" is some sort of generic term for spaceport. Am I missing something? N2e (talk) 23:11, 15 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

It was subsequently cleaned up. No longer there. N2e (talk) 13:16, 4 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
