Creating pages for minor routes
editI tried to create a page for Route 19, but am having trouble getting around the redirects to List of minor state routes in Connecticut. Any suggestions? Dan ad nauseam 21:15, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
- Rt. 19 is a really minor route, which is why it is redirected to the minor routes list. But if you feel it deserves its own article, you can simply replace the redirect text with what you want to put in. You can go directly to the article here --Polaron | Talk 21:43, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
"rv unnecessary bypassing of redirects"
editWhy is that unnecessary? If the name of the page is Connecticut Route 68, why should the list point to Route 68 (Connecticut), which just redirects to Connecticut Route 68? Drjayphd (talk) 19:45, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
- See WP:R2D and WP:USSH. The redirects are not broken. There is no need to change them. --Polaron | Talk 01:06, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
- Fair enough, it just strikes me as odd that the policy is to revert it and point at the redirects, rather than "eh, either the direct link or the redirect's fine". Drjayphd (talk) 19:00, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
List of Interstate and U.S. Highways in Connecticut
editWhy should this not be left as its own page? See List of Interstate Highways in New York, List of Interstate Highways in Pennsylvania, etc. There is also a List of State Routes in Pennsylvania and List of State Routes in New York. I'm pretty sure you shouldn't have deleted the other page. They are different lists. The one you deleted has different information. Deigo (talk) 19:45, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
- None of the other small states have separate lists. There is no fundamental reason why these should be separate as they are part of the same numbering system. If you want, you can reformat the entire list here into the style you used. --Polaron | Talk 23:42, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
