Discord Servers

edit

A discord server with double digit members does NOT warrant a section on a wikipedia page, social media movements you're referring to had thousands of members. Aweymember2 (talk) 19:48, 2 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

This discord server has thousands of supporters, including prominent people in Downing Street, CCHQ, Manchester for the conservative party conference and key MPs in Labour. It has more than enough of a right to be on this wikipedia page. LarryTheCat1 (talk) 19:51, 2 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
It has 26 members, it's a minor discord server. Aweymember2 (talk) 19:52, 2 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I am a part of this Discord server. And I can say that your members are completely idiotic to think that you can get away with this. Holy hell, why are you so egotistically entitled to think that your little den of senile, acne-ridden children with the mental aptitude of earthworms can stop HS2 from being shelved? Please remain civil @Getsomehelp1962: see WP:CIV. Comment on content, not onthe individual. Knitsey (talk) 20:01, 2 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
This seems like a conflict of interest. LarryTheCat1 (talk) 20:12, 2 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Any activist inclusion needs to demonstrate notability to be included. You can do this by providing sources of significant coverage of the group. A random Discord group without significant coverage showing notability would not normally warrant inclusion.

This articulates my point in a way I was unable to - thanks! Aweymember2 (talk) 19:53, 2 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
@LarryTheCat1: If there is such support for the group then it would be great if you could demonstrate that with links.
On another note, if you're the person from the server group then you have what we call a conflict of interest. Please read WP:COI. I will pop a note on your talk page about this. Knitsey (talk) 19:57, 2 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
