Format of table
editI've changed the format of this list to the same format used for all other Lists of trolleybus systems (as well as all the lists of town tramway systems, linked from this index page), for all other countries — more than 30 other lists. There was no good reason for this list to be in a different format from all of the others, and actually multiple reasons that the format that had been used solely for this list was not best. This is an all-time list, a historical overview. Having a photo for each system is inappropriate, because no one photo can be considered representative, or typical, of a given system, as almost every system has had several different types of trolleybuses. Putting a "photo" column/parameter in this list just encourages some editors to try to make sure the photo shows the most recent type of vehicle in a given city's fleet, but that's the wrong approach. As this list is an an all-time overview, it should not include any parameters that are focussed on the present-day situation (the current fleet, the current frequencies, current number of routes, etc.). Those details, along with the voltage, belong only in the articles about each individual Swiss trolleybus system. At the time this article's table format was set up, there were no articles on Wikipedia about individual Swiss trolleybus systems, but nearly all system now has its own article. I've not separated systems by Canton, as Swiss cantons are very small, and full half of the Swiss trolleybus systems are in cities where the canton and city share the same name, making it less useful to separate the data by canton for this list.
