Amtrak "Hudson Tunnel"
editThe title was incorrect. Changed to North River Tunnels, the correct appellation. 70.105.205.87 01:14, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Under water vs. under land
editThis list makes no distinction between tunnels under bodies of water and tunnels under mountains or the like, e.g. by listing them in separate sections. Should it? Michael Hardy (talk) 18:37, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
- Being under water or under whatever is a relatively minor distinction and should be—at most—a sortable column in the tables, not a separate section. A more significant distinction would be the method of construction: by boring or digging a ditch and capping it. —EncMstr (talk) 19:53, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

Why is BART in light rail tunnels?
editAccording to the National Transit Database, BART is heavy rail[1][2], also called subway or metro. Msramming (talk) 02:17, 8 February 2018 (UTC)
Hudson Line, New York tunnels missing
editThere are three tunnels between Beacon and Peekskill, New York on the Hudson Line. These are used by Metro-North and Amtrak passenger trains. Noted in the Hudson Line article, section on Putnam and Dutchess Counties. Why are they not included in this list?Dogru144 (talk) 20:39, 23 February 2024 (UTC)

Several tunnels in Wisconsin missing
editThere are three former railroad tunnels on the Elroy-Sparta bicycle trail, one on the Badger State Trail at Exeter, one on the Omaha Trail between Elroy and Camp Douglas, another pair of ancient ones near Strawbridge and Buncombe in the lead mining region of Lafayette County, one near Tunnelville (between La Farge and Viola) and an active rail tunnel just west of Tunnel City on the Canadian Pacific main line that Amtrak runs on between Tomah and Ft. McCoy. Aside from the active one, the Chicago Northwestern Railroad had one parallel and just to the north which has collapsed. And if the Howell tunnel under the runway at MKE is mentioned, College Ave has one under the other runway. 75.196.56.113 (talk) 12:30, 27 August 2024 (UTC)
