Rename
editI wonder whether this page should be called "list of university a cappella groups in the UK", since these groups would probably not be referred to as collegiate in the UK? --Aloneinthewild (talk) 11:57, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
Merge proposal
editProposed since July 2011, hasn't been discussed. I think it's probably appropriate unless the article can be expanded --Aloneinthewild (talk) 12:02, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
Notability
editA number of these groups have their own articles, most of which need significant work. Are any of them notable, or should they all be redirected back to this page? Jamesx12345 22:31, 7 June 2014 (UTC)
- I've added an extra factor to the inclusion criteria i.e. "that have achieved some level of notability or recognition". Many of these entries are unsourced, or about recently founded groups that are only mentioned in their own social media. I would argue that any group that hasn't had some level of proven success - got placed in a competition, been on the television, been profiled in a newspaper/magazine - should be removed. There are acappella websites and directories out there, and Wikipedia shouldn't be a random directory. Sionk (talk) 18:47, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

Request for Comment: New WikiProject for A Cappella-related articles
editHi there! To any and all interested: I've proposed a WikiProject dedicated to a cappella. This would be a group of editors interested in improving the quality of articles related to a cappella. If you're passionate about a cappella—ranging from the Pentatonix to collegiate a cappella groups like those listed here, or perhaps pop culture representations like Pitch Perfect and The Sing-Off—please check out the proposal and share your feedback!
Here's a link to the proposal for WikiProject A Cappella.
If you could see yourself contributing to an a cappella-related article (like this one), please consider joining!
