Is grouping publicly operated and privately owned subway systems together a good idea?
editOn April 1, 2018, the Osaka Municipal Subway will be privatized as Osaka Rapid Electric Tramway, K.K. At that time, there will be 17 major private railways in Japan, two of which will be functioning as subway systems. Do you think that listing all subway systems within the Tokyo and Keihanshin areas together will be a good idea?J4lambert (talk) 18:54, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
Merge tables?
editI think it would be nice to merge all tables, specifying the metropolitan area served and what kind of system is it (private, public, etc.) in extra columns. In this way, the tables could be easily read and sorted. --Ita140188 (talk) 13:51, 12 May 2019 (UTC)
- Can this be done in a sandbox first? Just so adjustments can be made before putting it on the mainspace. Cards84664 (talk) 02:59, 13 May 2019 (UTC)
- Sure, I will try it in my sandbox in the next few days and post the results here for discussion. Thanks. --Ita140188 (talk) 09:00, 13 May 2019 (UTC)
- @Cards84664: My tentative proposal for the merged table can be found at User:Ita140188/sandbox5. As an example, I only finished merging Fukuoka and Hiroshima (first table). The table is sortable. --Ita140188 (talk) 12:56, 14 May 2019 (UTC)
- @Ita140188: Looks good so far, it probably could look better without the extra bolding. Cards84664 (talk) 14:56, 14 May 2019 (UTC)

- My proposal for a new list is essentially finished at User:Ita140188/sandbox5#List. Please let me know what you think and in case if you agree to replace the current separate tables. Note that the list is sortable. --Ita140188 (talk) 08:10, 23 May 2019 (UTC)
- It just needs the remaining line icons and logos. Cards84664 (talk) 14:27, 23 May 2019 (UTC)
