Scope of the list
editThe scope of the list is wars involving Armenia and its predecessor states. Battles or conflicts involving Armenians, but not Armenia or its predecessor states are outside the scope of this list.
I intercept this as:
- If Armenia is involved in a battle, but its involvement was minor and not notable for being involved in the overall war, it shouldn't be included.
- If Armenia is not involved as a state/kingdom, but the war involves Armenians, it shouldn't be included.
If we include every battle and military event involving Armenians, the list will become unmanageable.
- This list includes historical events involving Armenia, not legends or mythology.
If a broader list is needed, I suggest creating a properly organized and annotated index such as Index of military events involving Armenia and Armenians. // Timothy :: talk 22:36, 17 January 2023 (UTC)
Cleanup
edit@Vardan Mamikonyan and LexaneAlex: There is a lot of material in the list without citations that needs to be reviewed and removed in no citation is found. The article has been tagged for a while, I've added tags to the Pre–historical Armenia section of the list.
The three entries in this section need citations from reliable sources that show that the state of Armenia was involved in the war, not that Armenians were involved, but Armenia. // Timothy :: talk 11:22, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
Unreferenced material that is challanged may be removed per Wikipedia guidelines.
I will move onto the next section with unreferenced material after this section. // Timothy :: talk 11:22, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
There are only included wars/battles/conlficts when Armeians had significant amount of power included. Mostly Armenian volunteers and powers are included in main article of battle/war/conflict too LexaneAlex (talk) 11:40, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
My dear, cn for Battle of Hayots Dzor? It literally has his own article, what about Aram's campaign - information is taken out of Armenian wiki LexaneAlex (talk) 11:46, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
- This is a list of wars about Armenia, not a list of wars involving Armenians. // Timothy :: talk 11:49, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
Most of battles which you deleted are directly related to Armenian history and have big meaning to history, so please, stop to deleting information without understanding why do that LexaneAlex (talk) 11:48, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
- Wars involving Armenians and Wars involving Armenia are different subjects. This article is about wars involving Armenia. // Timothy :: talk 11:50, 18 January 2023 (UTC)

Reverted insertion per WP:BURDEN, WP:V. // Timothy :: talk 13:03, 23 April 2023 (UTC)
Article cleanup
editThe entry for "Battle of Hayots Dzor"
editThis story is an origin myth not a historical event (and it is under pre history).
There is no source showing that the state of Armenia or any of its preceding states was involved in this. Whether or not Armenians actually participated is not the issue - the issue is are their Reliable sources showing that the state of Armenia or any of its preceding states was involved in this as a historical (real) event. // Timothy :: talk 06:53, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
So if your point as about wars involving aratta we can just remove it. But such as rebellion and etc were ARMENIA HADN'T HIS state, but was significant participating in war/conflict (also battle if it was major event), in my opinion, we should let them be in this page LexaneAlex (talk) 09:52, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
- Entry removed, no citation provided. Do not restore again without a citation showing that the Armenia was a party to the war.
I am keeping track of information that is added without citations and tags removed without resolution See Wikipedia guidelines regarding unsourced claims and removing tags. // Timothy :: talk 22:19, 10 February 2023 (UTC)
Lebanese Civil War entry
editI have placed a citation needed tag on the entry for the Lebanese Civil War.
- Comment: Content removed; no citations provided. Restoring content without a consensus and sources showing this was a war involving the state of Armena and a source is against WP:V, WP:BURDEN, and WP:ONUS. // Timothy :: talk 18:14, 31 March 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: This material was removed after being tagged due to no citations provided. Content restored without citation or explanation. Reverted due to no citation and no participation on talk page. // Timothy :: talk 19:09, 13 April 2023 (UTC)

Clarification
editI have been tagging the first column in rows that need citations for inclusion or the details in that row. I haven't tagged multiple cells in a single row, but the details needs to be cited, unless it is clear from the parent article (if one exists). // Timothy :: talk 14:12, 1 April 2023 (UTC)

Should the 2023 September Nagorno-Karabakh clashes be added as well ?
editThe Period between September 19-20 saw the largest fighting sinse the 2020 war. And left over 190 dead on the Armenian side and 192 on the Azeribajan side and saw the Azeri army take over huge chunk of land in Karabakh itself and cusing them to lay down arms 2600:6C50:1B00:32BE:7082:B49C:C983:128B (talk) 01:08, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
