About the external link in the lead
editMuch as I love watching this site, and have a link to it on my user page, it seems very strange to have an external link to it in the lead. Wikipedia:External links states: With rare exceptions, external links should not be used in the body of an article.
and Official links are still subject to standard formatting requirements, such as rich media labelling and not placing links in the text of the article.

- This seems like a fine rare exception. Randy Kryn (talk) 20:58, 4 August 2019 (UTC)
- I disagree, "Listen to Wikipedia can be seen and heard here" is more like a directive or how-to. It doesn't fit within the encyclopedic style where we write from the perspective of an uninvolved third-party. Additionally, we have a link in the infobox and an external links section for this express purpose. Opencooper (talk) 02:03, 5 August 2019 (UTC)
