Deletion or Nah
editThis article's existence seems kind of pointless considering how the articles linked in "see also" cover everything this article does already. I think this page should just be a disambiguation page, and that's what I'll change it to for now. Feel free to discuss this issue MLGDatBoi1738 (talk) 20:10, 27 February 2022 (UTC)
Few questions
editHow should the list link to the articles about the actual ports, through the city names? Is the data direct from the 2003 list? This could get confusing if it keeps being updated with data from differently calculated sources. Tfine80 17:18, 25 September 2005 (UTC)
- I am not too sure what you mean by the first question. As for the second, the 2002 and 2003 data are directly sourced from references as indicated, so they should not change. 2004 figures were taken from press release sources and from the operator's websites, so they may be updated until AAPA comes up with the finalised list for that year.--Huaiwei 19:27, 25 September 2005 (UTC)
ACK The list should link to the pages about the ports rather than the cities.--Hhielscher 00:14, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
References of 2004 and 2005?
editThe references are listes for 2002 and 2003 only. What are the references for the other years?--Hhielscher 09:42, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
Can someone produce a list based on the following data and format:
http://aapa.files.cms-plus.com/Statistics/WORLD%20PORT%20RANKINGS%2020081.pdf
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_world's_busiest_container_ports
"Largest Port" redirect here?
editWhy does "Largest Port" redirect here? If I want to find out the largest port (by geographic size), I shouldn't be redirected to this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.251.1.105 (talk) 02:13, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
Page move
editI'd like to move this page from World's busiest port to World's busiest ports (plural). While article titles are generally singular in form (eg, Horse not Horses) exceptions include the names of classes of objects, which is what we have here. I've consulted WP:MOVE and WP:RM and there seems to be a backlog, and since the move seems non-controversial I think I'll try to do it myself if I can work it out. I just thought it would be a good idea to leave this note here as a courtesy. nagualdesign 20:16, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
Done. That was easier than expected. nagualdesign 20:19, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
