State Statute Cites

edit

If anyone wants to help flesh out the links to state statutes... that would be great. There doesn't seem to be a master repository of publicly-available state codes, so the best I can do is follow the links from Cornell's project, and the ones that exist on Findlaw. Article Structure

edit

I've just started populating the statute summaries. If you take a look at Alabama and Arizona, you'll get an idea of how I'm trying to do it. Feel free to join in. It's fun... really!! ;) John2510 (talk) 03:46, 18 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Content/citations Format

edit

I'm embarassed by my citation format, but I figure it's better to get the useful information into the structure than have it look pretty. I invite people with state-specific familiarity to make clean up edits. However... I am inclined to go with just section numbers in the table to save space. I think that's probably a good idea. I'm debating adding ref links to each statutory section within the cells, but figure that's the last priority. Also, I'm inclined to start with larger states and move to smaller ones. I did the beginning of the state alphabet to sort of set the pace of the article.

I'm unsure how to add case law. Maybe a third column?... or just add within the existing cell? I don't want it to add every case on point and have it become cumbersome to the point of being useless. John2510 (talk) 14:56, 20 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
