2 1 World

21World (' to one world '): originally 21World is an organisation for 'One World without Poverty and Prosperity problems'. Therefore activities and concepts have been developped which meet these mission and goal(s) like the 2005/2006 idea for a 21WORLD FESTIVAL.
As well as in 2007 it est also 7 years after the 2000-2015 United Nations - Millennium Development Goals (MDG) and halfway the implementation period.

• Background
  

21World wants to put an end to both poverty and prosperity problems in the world by allowing rich and poor countries to share each others strengths and talents. Therefore it wants to inspire and create awareness for all people by

• organizing festivals with musical artists and speakers,
• create a platform, for sustainable and fair products and
• supporting the most effective and efficient projects of transparent aid organisations .

The organisation does not want to address only governments and companies. As 21WORLD says theirself : 'wanting to change the awareness of citizens and employees by showing them daily life choices. These choices in products and aid-projects will also change life on the other side of the planet. They will beat poverty and prosperity problems.'

21WORLD FESTIVAL

21WORLD had the intention to realise a Festival on July 7th 2007 in 7 stadiums on 7 continents: 21WORLD FESTIVAL (i.e. 070707).
On these festivals international music artists and inspirational speakers will entertain, share their visions, create awareness on poverty and prosperity problems and inspire people to take action and evaluate their lifestyle and choices in every day’s life. The atmosphere in the stadium will be positive, relaxed, inspirational and focussed on possibilities and talents of people.
With the intention to make 'July 7th, 2007 a worldwide historical day for everyone on the planet to become aware and take action against poverty and prosperity problems.'

21World had some conections with the Netherlands and its Dutch secretariat has been based in Rotterdam (NL).

Millenium Development Goals

And in 2007 also 7 years after the in 2000 by the United Nations and its member states adopted Millennium Development Goals (MDG):

• 1 - Stop extrame hunger en poverty
• 2 - All boys and girls go to school
• 3 - Men and women have equal rights
• 4 - Childdeath has decreased
• 5 - Less women die during pregnanacy
• 6 - Spreading of diseases like Aids, maleria has stopped
• 7 - More people life in a sustainable environment
• 8 - More honest trade, reduction of debts and more aid

In 2007 it is also halfway the 2000-2015 period to implement these goals worldwide.

Live Earth

Early 2007 Al Gore among others came up with the concept of Live Earth. But other organisations and people had adopted earlier likewise idea's/concept to organise worldwide something on July 7th 2007.

Live Earth Alert

Live Earth Alert: in the Netherlands had a unique character because of its length and total concept and in addtion to 'Live Earth'. They presented and broadcasted live a 24hour program Live Earth Alert ca. saturday-morning 08:00-08:00hrs sunday-morning (local time, W.E.T.) including live-streams from all 7 continents and stadiums (in sequential other) on Nederland 3 (='public television station TV Netherlands 3') by BNN, NOS, LLink and 3FM (='public radio station Radio 3FM') . It has been included worldwide reports from Dutch correspondents stationed in all 7 seven continents and also from the home-location Westerpark in Amsterdam (capital of the Netherlands): (Live Earth Alert) , where as part of the total concept, a parallel concert-program on stage produced by the Dutch run from 12:00-23:00hrs (W.E.T) as well as various side-events.

21World Festival

21World Festival (' to one world '): concept originally of 21World, which had already in 2005/2006 the idea to organise a worldwide festival on July 7th, 2007 in 7 stadiums on 7 continents for One World without Poverty and Prosperity problems: 21WORLD FESTIVAL.
