Criticism?
editThis article isn't quite an advert, but it teeters on the edge at times (eg "The New Rules" heading) because of the lack of critical comment. For example, today's Guardian "Weekend" magazine has a story featuring the development, and pointing out that a large number of public rights of way have been removed, replaced with more restrictive "public realm agreements". In other words, privatisation of public space. This isn't the first place where this has happened by any means, but it's not something that should be ignored.
Similarly, there's no acknowledgement in this article of the upset caused by things like the closing-down of Quiggins, or the way in which what is part of a large city centre is skewing itself towards affluent consumers and deliberately squeezing others out, a change from the "everyperson" image that Liverpool likes to project. Should the article now be renamed?
editSince The Paradise Project is now open, is advertised as "Liverpool 1" and is known by the public as "Liverpool 1", surely the article's name should be "Liverpool 1"? I don't actually know how to change the name of an article on Wikipedia so I would be grateful if someone else could do it!--gottago (talk) 21:33, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
- I've moved the article (using the "move" tab at the top of the page). Its new name is "Liverpool One" so that is the title I have moved it to. --Snigbrook (talk) 22:22, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
UK Police Drama called Liverpool One
edit- In the late 90's and early 2000's, the UK's ITV broadcast a police drama entitled "Liverpool One." As of early 2009, it is still broadcast on ITV channels. I should probably do some additional research before making anymore suggestions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bobnweavelefthook (talk • contribs) 21:29, 26 January 2009 (UTC)
