Deep breath

Maybe the disagreements here should be worked out on the talk page. 199.200.243.253 (talk) 18:47, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I've semi-protected the page for 24 hours and will update WP:AN regarding this move. Dppowell (talk) 19:34, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Posted to WP:AN. Because of the turmoil, the editorial involvement of the article's subject, and the WP:BLP concerns, I've called attention to this article on the Administrators' Noticeboard. Dppowell (talk) 18:58, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

It already has been mentioned on the Conflict of Interest Administrators Noticeboard. The359 (talk) 20:33, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
This isn't merely a COI issue, and the additional attention won't hurt. Dppowell (talk) 20:36, 4 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

How to proceed

edit

For starters, I'd suggest organizing the article along the lines of many other Wikipedia biographies. After the intro, I'd probably have sections called "Early life," "Radio Career," "The Liz Wilde Show," (making sure that balanced coverage is given to the various controversies associated with the show) and then something like "Current activities."

Liz, one way for you to contribute without attracting conflict-of-interest concerns is to post some autobiographical material on your own web page, off Wikipedia. Then, editors here can use that as a source and, with an eye towards neutral point-of-view, evaluate how to include your information in the Wikipedia article.

Other comments/suggestions? Dppowell (talk) 17:07, 6 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

I reverted the article to a previous version that included references and did not seem to attack or be offensive to the articles subject (has she has complained about that type or behavior in her edit summary). Perhaps once the articles subject releases her book in 2009, we can use that as a reference as well and resubmit some of the information she included in the article. But this shorter version seems to make sense as it is not written by the articles subject and has references from various sources. Actually, that book wont be a suitable source since it's autobiographical.--Rtphokie (talk) 00:17, 12 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
Huh? A subject's autobiography can absolutely be used as a reference in a WP article. Barack Obama would be one prominent example. Dppowell (talk) 02:12, 12 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
