Talk:Lloyd's List

Lloyd's List deserves its own entry

edit

I have removed the merger suggestion from this page. As one of the longest continuously published newspapers in the world, Lloyd's List should not be merged into an article about a company that was created less than ten years ago. It woulf be like merging 'yoghurt' into 'Danone'. CanadrianUK (talk) 10:37, 29 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Title correction

edit

The title is now Lloyds List. But the paper's heading says: 'Lloyd's List'. This being alseo the right way of speling, innit, I suggest to change the title into Lloyd's List. It takes a swapping, since the suggested new title is now a redirect. -DePiep 14:56, 5 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Merge

edit

User:Btball has tagged this page to be merged with Informa because that is now the parent company. Considering Lloyd's List has a very long and distinguished history, and still operates under its own name, I see no reason for a merger. That would be like merging Vought with Carlyle Group just because they were bought out. And even if there was a name change, Lloyd's List is still notable for its history, just like there is a separate Lockheed article from Lockheed Martin.
