Career
editThis entry was woefully light in decsribing the man's film career. I've added a few examples, but the section still needs some work. Anson2995 23:56, 11 May 2006 (UTC)

Question
editWasn't Lloyd Bridges also Captain Cain on Battlestar Galactica for a few episodes?
- He played Commander (not Captain) Cain on the 2-part episode "The Living Legend". 4.159.113.163 22:38, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
Military
editBridges was recently slandered as a coward in this article, for not serving in World War II. False. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard. Monkeyzpop (talk) 22:43, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Best known for
edit"Bridges is best known for his role of Mike Nelson in Sea Hunt" - er, hello - Airplane!? High Noon? ElectricRay (talk) 20:51, 7 December 2010 (UTC) Agreed, Which of all of his movies has been viewed the most? Airplane! By a very large margin. But, just try to get anything done about it! If you edit it yourself someone will revert it, attempt to start a discussion or debate and you will be told it is a matter of opinion... Usually the only "proper" answer is the one that was lifted from another source. I've tried years ago to get several other actors Best Known Role status changed to the actual Best Known Role, to the point of actually getting banned. Since then I've given up on all sources of Wiki as far as trusted sources.
Mr Bridges deserves a little better
editHe was the cool dad whom every kid wanted in the Palisades.
Yes, I would say considering the number of Sea Hunt episodes, that's his best recognition. The googleplex has a statue of Bridges as Mike Nelson on its campus; that was a surprise until I saw the other oceanographic related statues there (Cousteau, Earle, et al).
I do think this page needs more on his supporting actor role in High Noon which ranks up there in American culture with Casablanca. He got those subsequent movie roles because of Sea Hunt. It was a long nice Southern California career. He's missed. 143.232.210.38 (talk) 17:15, 18 July 2012 (UTC)

Airplane! was a spoof of "Zero Hour" not disaster movies
editYou can watch them both on you tube, I saw Zero Hour when I was a kid. Sudzydoogiedawg (talk) 09:58, 6 February 2023 (UTC)
