Fireman Sam and other misinformation
editNote that http://lloydlangford.com/faq/ includes the following question and answer:
- Do you really do the voice of Elvis on Fireman Sam/Were you actually born in Bristol?
- No. Some rascal keeps altering my wikipedia page with his own “facts”. And then lazy journalists print these facts and this little tinker then links back to the newspaper articles to substantiate them.
Both of these were present in the article today (the Elvis claim only sourced to another comedian's list of comedians), so I've cut them. --McGeddon (talk) 12:15, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
- Looks like all the misinformation has come from an editor using IPs in the range 157.203.254.*, and they've also added some other material that isn't supported by the given sources. I'll go ahead and cut it all back. --McGeddon (talk) 12:22, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
Rhod Gilbert’s flat-mate?
editOn Ask Rhod Gilbert, he was always introduced as being on the panel because he was Rhod Gilbert’s flat-mate. It was done to make it sound like that this was his only credential for being there, as if to make up numbers, rather than because he was a performer in his own right; to this end, unlike other panelists, he was introduced by Gilbert without a surname, as in, “my flat-mate, Lloyd”). Was there any grain of truth in this (in the way that Baddiel and Skinner did used to be flat-mates, then incorporated this as part of their shows), or was it simply a conceit for comic effect on the show?
