Can someone clarify why they do not consider this person is notable? If there is no response in a few days I will delete the flag. PatGallacher 11:58, 19 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

He died climbing Mount Everest. Not the first...won't be the last. I don't consider that to be a claim for notability. --OnoremDil 13:57, 19 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
Possibly, but the combination of climbing the mountain, dying descending from the summit, and being a nephew of the great Tenzing Norgay does add up to notability. PatGallacher 21:34, 19 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
I disagree. Relation to notability doesn't make a person notable. He climbed the mountain...not every climber belongs here. He died on it...this isn't a memorial. That's just my opinion. --OnoremDil 21:50, 19 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Lobsang Tshering also worked with Scott Fischer. He carried canister's of oxygen for Scott on his first " no oxygen" summit of Everest in case they were needed. Documented on Auburn University campus in an open forum discussion with Scott Fischer and Mark Falkenberg in the early 1990's. 2601:7C0:CA00:C210:0:0:0:1 (talk) 03:37, 1 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
