Further information about the burgh and its people are to be found in the 2005 publication, “A Guid Wee Schule” by Isabelle C Gow (who is a native of Lochmaben). Other books written by Isabelle C Gow concerning the town are “World War Two - Annandale Connections”, “A Survey of the War Memorial” - (WW1) and most recently, as part editor, of “Lochmaben - Community Memories” pub.
