Merge

I'm opposed to the suggested merger. It would have to be under Locking to include the place, but Lock is a far more natural search term. No-one else has commented in over a month, so I will remove the template. Osomec 18:49, 9 August 2005 (UTC)

Added deifinition for telemetry lock. Removed definition of lock on this page, first link is to Lock (device) already, and this is a disambiguation page. Rob 09:08, 11 March 2006 (UTC)

The point of a disambiguation page is not to list every possible definition or use of a particular word in the English language; disambiguation pages are meant to assist a Wikipedia user in finding an existing page whose topic is (or could be) the actual word used in their search query.

Having said that, these are the edits I made to this page:

• Removed any red-links or references to topics which do not have articles of their own and lack coverage elsewhere in Wikipedia
• Removed entries in bullet points below Lock (device), Lock (firearm) and Lock of hair, for example: Ignition lock, Snaplock and Goldilocks...
  • It is doubtful that a person would simply type "lock" in an attempt to find a page on one of these specific topics
