To-do list for London Borough of Redbridge:
|
Redbridge and Ilford
editIt should be noted that parts of Redbridge and Ilford are outside London, having Essex in their address. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Maurice45 (talk • contribs) 14:49, 31 October 2006.
- That is a postal county anomaly. MRSC • Talk 15:58, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, they have Essex in their address, but they are still part of Greater London. The whole borough is included, despite some parts having Essex in their name. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Gammondog (talk • contribs) 14:45, 10 December 2006.
- No, Essex is not in the address. Only put in their due to ignorance or lack of education to the contrary. All of Ilford and Redbridge has been a part of London for 45 years.
Chadwell Heath
editIsn't Chadwell Heath a district in Redbridge? The article would be improved by including Chadwell Heath in the districts section.--TGC55 (talk) 13:59, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
- Chadwell Heath is in Dagenham. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.10.87.105 (talk) 20:09, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
Demographics
editPlanning to highlight demographic change (census data) and residents' reactions to it e.g. the work of Sophie Watson & Anamik Saha on educated 30-something British Asian nostalgia for the more multicultural Redbridge of their youth. Happy to discuss TrabiMechanic 23:29, 29 November 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheTrabiMechanic (talk • contribs)
- Currently there is a particular focus on changes in 'White British' numbers. In line with census reporting I'd like to even out the emphasis. Planning to start a separate section to discuss responses to demographic change. TrabiMechanic 00:08, 30 November 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheTrabiMechanic (talk • contribs)
- In the section on Ethnic and Religious Change, I cited a local community group blog post I myself authored. This is because the article about the subject in The Times is now behind a paywall (more on that at How does your garden grow?) TrabiMechanic 19:45, 30 November 2014 (UTC)
Although this section may be useful insofar as the numbers are taken from actual surveys, I question the motives in highlighting demographic change within the borough. Although figures can be authoritative, the choice to present these particular figures would, I argue, go beyond Wikipedia's claims to neutral content. Particularly so with reference to Watson and Saha (2013). User9891, London.
Maps
editWhen I click a link in a section entitled Maps I don't expect to be directed to a picture of a bus further up the page. Either provide real maps or omit the section altogether. --Oldontarian (talk) 18:01, 30 June 2015 (UTC) Done --ClemRutter (talk) 13:53, 7 January 2018 (UTC)
