"Gordon" at SVR

edit

If only Gwernol would take my word for things he/she would save themselves a load of effort. 7severn7 (talk) 10:17, 16 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Unfortunately, that's not how WP works. You need to be able to verify your claims from reliable sources, and links to forum sites do not count. What you need to find is a reference on the SVR website (or a news site, such as the BBC!) or in the SVR stocklist, that states who the owner is.
As for Gwernol, you would be well-advised to take heed of his opinions regarding WP matters. He is sympathetic to those interested in railways (being an enthusiast himself) and as an admin here is a very useful ally to have.
[Additional] Incidentally, this SVR page states that Gordon was one of the engines for which the Engine House was specifically built. Unfortunately it says nothing about the loco's ownership, and many of the SVR 'news' pages are currently inaccessible.

I'm not trying to alienate Gwernol; merely trying to educate him. I'm sure he is as keen as the rest of us about railways; but most people that know about the SVR know that the gentleman who posted the comment about the engine's ownership on the SVR Forum is a director. 7severn7 (talk) 18:28, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

That's as may be, but 99.99999% of Wikipedia users will NOT know who he is.
I can't be bothered arguing with you. If you abide by the rules, you'll find this a pleasant place to edit.... EdJogg (talk) 22:07, 18 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

GWR 2301 Class

edit

I have deleted "Pannier tanks removed" because the GWR 2301 Class were tender engines and never had pannier tanks. Biscuittin (talk) 16:27, 24 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Station articles

edit

I have created stub articles for the stations along the line (they exist for stops on the Bordon Light Railway, so I don't see why not the LMR!). I have added route boxes showing the next and previous stations, though I have not added the stations to the list at list of closed railway stations in Britain. What was wrong with them?

edit

Ok, why did the people of Less reject the line from Liss Forest Road to Liss being restored? Don't they realize it could have benefited them through the tourist trade?! They were being idiots I tell you, complete, selfish, idiots!!!! Dinoboyaz (talk) 20:56, 21 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
