Mars=Ares?

Has Ares actually be mentioned on BSG as the god of war? It's also possible that Mars is just another name for Ares in Colonialese. (Alphaboi867 20:20, 7 October 2006 (UTC))

Removing speculation

I've removed the following bit from the article:

Other evidence in the series suggests that Earth as a 13th colony is a false legend, and that Kobol was populated from Earth. Most notably in the Tomb of Athena it is revealed the flags of the colonies contain constellations as viewed from Earth, that the colonies are named after the Earth Zodiac, and that the Lagoon Nebula, which sits between Earth and the colonies, is known to Adama as Messier 8, a designation dating from 18th century Earth. In this case, the Lords of Kobol are named after Earth mythology rather than the source of it.

While it is an interesting theory, it is 100% fan speculation and original research, which is against Wikipedia policy, and in fact contradicts BSG canon and information given on the show. It has no place here. -- Ritchy 21:10, 5 November 2006 (UTC)

Aurora

The way the article is written gives tha false impression that aurora (or Eos) was one of the 12 gods of Olympus. She was not. She was a minor deity in ancient greek and roman mythology. This begs the question of whether this is a mistake by the writers or if there isn't a 1-to-1 correspondence to the 12 gods, opening the way for further deviations in the remaining unknown lords. --Gsapient 19:53, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

God whose name must not be spoken

The article seems to separate "God whose name must not be spoken" from "Cylon God." My impression the show was that no such distinction was made, and that the two could be one and the same. The Cylon God has clear roots in the Judeo-Christian traditions, and such in the Judaic tradition this were concerns about repeating the name of God. A stronger separations between these two, as well as a separation between the Cylon God and the human deities would help to better reflection the distiction as reflected in the show. -66.109.248.114 (talk) 23:39, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

Priestess of Oshun

I can't remember what episode, but Roslin mentions "Priestess of Oshun". Oshun is the Orisha of love, beauty, sex, healing, dance, fun & laughter, and money. She is firmly linked with water and especially rivers and fresh water. So if she has a priestess then it's safe to say she is viewed as one of the Lords of Kobol.
