Thoughts
editI've been editing this article religiously for the past few weeks and intend to keep doing so for a while yet, although the start of the fall semester might interfere with my productivity.
Some ideas for the future:
- Include a summary of Lorin's involvement with Nathaniel Baldwin's Radio Plant in the "Plural marriage" section;
- Add a section summarizing some of his key teachings, especially the Church–Kingdom–Priesthood dichotomy;
- Perhaps a "Controversy" section thoroughly examining the disputed historicity of his claims, opposition by LDS leaders, etc.
It would also be nice if a fellow editor would look the article over and make sure I've kept everything sufficiently NPOV. --Worthington56 (talk) 01:10, 5 August 2014 (UTC)
- Some additional points:
- The second paragraph of the "Plural marriage" section was written largely from memory and definitely needs to be augmented with further citations.
- I'd prefer to minimize references to overtly apologetic/polemical works by Jeffs, Bishop, Hales, and Anderson, perhaps removing them entirely as more neutral scholarly works come to light. (Unfortunately, in a field so comparatively obscure, that could be a while.) Furthermore, the current incarnation of the article includes a few references to primary sources (Joseph Musser's unpublished journal, Charles Zitting's autobiography) that will need to be replaced by reliable secondary ones as soon as feasible. --Worthington56 (talk) 01:26, 5 August 2014 (UTC)
