confusing info re: perfect season
editThere seems to be some confusion in the "Perfect Season" section. The Bulldogs' record in league games is given as 8-0-0 (which is what I always understood it to be). But if you count the league games in the schedule (in bold print), you get a record of 9-0-0. I'm going to check up on this and hopefully have an answer in a short while. - OK, that didn't take very long. I consulted "The Outsiders: The Three American Football Leagues of 1936-41", by Bob Gill and Tod Maher. They have the same schedule listed, and the Bulldogs' season record is listed in the standings as 9-0-0. I'm going to correct the article to reflect this. Jackie Robinson info
editSurprised that Jackie Robinson playing for the Bulldogs only rates a parenthetical comment. Such a seminal figure in sports (especially in Los Angeles) should be more deeply investigated. Is there any more information on his playing with the Bulldogs? The Jackie Robinson page says he also played for the Bulldogs in 1944 or 1945.
