real or fake
editI have a question, Is it real or fake? --Kell65 (talk) 03:52, 25 February 2009 (UTC)Kell65 7:51
the videos you are seeing are mostly fake and based on the witnesses accounts of what happend--"I am an oktau and a baka at times but deny proven facts and you got a fight" comment added by Dragonmaster88 (talk • contribs) 00:21, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- The show both says it "based on the possibility," imply its fake and that it is made from the "victims own tapes," implying its real. While this contradiction seems a bit slick and fishy, the former seems like a confession that its fake and I suspect that's the correct interpretation -- but still I want an official admission from those who make it (i.e., a reference) confirming this for certain / telling how its made and what from. Anyone have such a reference? (I'd also ask why Animal Planet is now featuring sci-fi, but I know ratings money would be the answer.) --69.138.148.145 (talk) 03:45, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- When it says "These are their tapes." or something to that effect, they mean those are the fictional videos taken by the fictional character(s) in the episode. i.e., in the context of the made-up story. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.255.34.204 (talk) 11:35, 19 September 2010 (UTC)

I don't believe in the octopus one--"I am an oktau and a baka at times but deny proven facts and you got a fight" comment added by Dragonmaster88 (talk • contribs) 00:19, 26 June 2009 (UTC) I can't find out how to put a new topic, but I'll put itn here. Someone HAS to put the Reptilian episodes' summary in the List of Lost Tapes episodes article63.170.119.148 (talk) 04:44, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
From the Creator
editHi, everyone. Since November 2008, this article has grown so much. I never expected this. This is the most active and longest article I have ever created.
Looking at the length of this article and the number of voters at IMDb, Lost Tapes is clearly one of the most watched shows currently running on Animal Planet. In my opinion, the first two episodes were the best.
Initially, the series' subject matter intrigued and baffled me, causing me to create this article, until I realized soon that the story content was fictitious. I never did like the show much, finding it a little weird and inappropriate to air on Animal Planet.
Sincerely,
....
editYou guys are right, Lost tapes is fake, and your right Twinsday, Sharon was pretty and nice (lol!)--Boy of The Waters (talk) 16:15, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
Critical reception section
editLet's be honest here, the critical reception section as it exists now is completely unsourced, anonymous fan opinion. It should have been deleted long ago. Now, I've been searching for some legitimate reviews, and the best I've been able to find is this article. Can anyone find more? --Cornprone (talk) 08:01, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- Since no one replied, I went ahead and fixed the reception section. More reactions from reliable sources would be welcome, if there are any. --Cornprone (talk) 02:26, 14 February 2010 (UTC)
Corporate jingoism
editI see that this and three other Wikipedia pages use the term "upfront season." I don't think that this is common enough vernacular to be used this way. I can only guess that this is a prettying up of a term referring to the part of the year that isn't reruns. JustaAverageJoe (talk) 22:54, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
fourth season?
editi was just going over the episode summaries on List of Lost Tapes episodes and there was a (poorly written) mention of a fourth season. i just wanted to ask around if there was any other word about such a thing or if this is just fan-dalism 09:17, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure it's fake, there has been no confirmation nor was there a source given. 66.59.49.88 (talk) 15:32, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
Plesiosaurs
editthe Plesiosaurs has 2 be real and still alive like sharks and alligators are still alive from then. The lady on the boat had a peas of the Plesiosaurs and they did find her boat so why not study it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.113.172.13 (talk) 20:54, 22 August 2012 (UTC)
The show is pure fiction, just because it looks real doesn't make it so. 50.195.51.9 (talk) 16:15, 13 September 2012 (UTC)
Season Four again?
editIt looks like the mythical supposed Season 4 has resurfaced. It's completely unsourced and I don't know how to edit infoboxes, so could someone more knowledgable do it for me? 50.250.62.201 (talk) 17:10, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
Agree with the user above. There is NO VERIFIED Season 4, let alone one with 24 episodes.
editSomeone is making stuff up (or if they aren't are not sourcing things at all), there are two pages, this one and the episode list one that state Lost Tapes has/will have 4 Seasons, it does not, it has 3.
Also I find it extremely hard to believe they'd produce 24 episodes (on the episode list page) in one season when they haven't even come close to that before in previous seasons. This show is dead more than likely, it just gets a lot of people wanting it to be revived, but there is NO Season 4 that is verified ANYWHERE on Animal Planet or Discovery Network's websites. I'd edit it out but the last time I did it was reverted, but as the above user said, it's completely unfounded and I spent an hour looking, just found rehashes of old episodes with different names (or fan episodes). 121.209.8.43 (talk) 07:31, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
