Confusion

edit

I changed "Krieger continued his studies at the Charcoal Club School of Fine Arts" to "Krieger continued his studies at the Charcoal Club of Baltimore and the Schuler School of Fine Arts" but I think there are problems with this. Neither of these were really schools when Krieger was a young man. Aside from the unreliable source that claims he studied at the "Charcoal Club School of Fine Arts" I can find no evidence online that this actually happened. Can someone add an explanation?

"He returned to illustrating mushrooms in 1918 when he returned to Baltimore to work for the noted gynecologist Howard A. Kelly." At first I thought that either a typo or vandalism had caused "mycologist" to be changed to "gynecologist." However, the linked article identifies Howard A. Kelly as an eminent gynecologist. Does anyone know why a gynecologist would employ someone to draw mushrooms? Was Krieger doing medical illustrations for Kelly and resumed drawing mushrooms during the same period as a hobby or second job? Unless there is a connection between gynecology and mushrooms of which I am not aware, there is something intriguing (or incorrect) going on here. Gms3591 (talk) 07:01, 30 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
