Neutrality
This article clearly promotes Cheskin at the expense of Ernest Dichter and Edward Bernays, and does not provide any references for these judgments. For example:
The approach of Dichter and Bernays was based on untested dogma and ungrounded assessments.
Says who, actually? -- IslandGyrl 16:39, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
Though he was a psychoanalyst, Bernays applied Freudian theory directly to market research without actually testing it scientifically. I have not found evidence of a scientific method used by Bernays in his marketing and PR work.
- The article has been substantially changed since 2007, I've removed the NPOV template, please use {{POV-section}} or better yet {{POV-statement}} for sentences, then detail issues here. This will help address them in a timely manner. - RoyBoy 19:53, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
Copy Editing
In case anyone was wondering, my method here essentially involves making the text concise, removing things whose irrelevance is made obvious by conciseness, reordering some things, wikifying, and polishing. I did not get very far through this, but I will probably come back to it. This article contains a lot of fluff, and I hope to put that into the past tense! Also, this article may benefit from someone who is an expert in the history of marketing when this is done, in order to check for factual errors introduced by the article essentially being rewritten in parts. --Falcon Darkstar Kirtaran (talk) 07:32, 2 August 2008 (UTC)
- Little has changed since last year. Will happily edit out some of the verbiage. We need some luck and an advertising historian to polish it off. Wish us luck! Shir-El too 10:18, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
Have copyedited this article as much as I can: it contains too much unverified information and practically NO biographical information. Suggest it be split into two or more articles: one (a stub) about Cheskin himself, and a second about his marketing innovations and methods. (Copied from Louis Cheskin talk page.) Cheers, Shir-El too 22:27, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- If we can find an appropriate title for them, I think that would be a wonderful idea; putting them in his bio page only really serves to extoll his virtues in a PoV manner. Thanks for finishing the copy edit, though. --Falcon Darkstar Kirtaran (talk) 10:10, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Hi. I've started copyediting the article as part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles Needing Copy Edit. I've just rearranged some sentences and done some wikifying up until Louis Cheskin#Sensation transference. --Blehfu (talk) 19:31, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
Biography...
This article needs solid info about Cheskin's life in addition to expert attention. Good Luck! Shir-El too 21:07, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
And why is it important what hospital he died in, in the 1st sentence of the article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.20.160.157 (talk) 13:14, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
