Fair use rationale for Image:Love from a Strange Radio Times Billing 1947.jpg
editImage:Love from a Strange Radio Times Billing 1947.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

The result of the move request was: No consensus to move after over 2 weeks and a relisting. Cúchullain t/c 14:26, 6 November 2018 (UTC)
- Love from a Stranger (1938 TV play) → Love from a Stranger (1938 film)
- Love from a Stranger (1947 TV play) → Love from a Stranger (1947 British film)
- Love from a Stranger (1947 film) → Love from a Stranger (1947 American film)
– Both of these use non-standard disambiguation under WP:NCTV. As the 1938 version was 90 minutes long, and the 1947 version was 75 minutes long, these were effectively "TV films", so "film" seems to be the best disambiguation choice as per WP:NCTV (the alternative option would be "TV program") in this case. Moving the 1947 version will also require moving Love from a Stranger (1947 film) to additional disambiguation as per WP:NCFILM. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 15:29, 14 October 2018 (UTC)--Relisting. –Ammarpad (talk) 20:40, 22 October 2018 (UTC)
- Question, are television plays films? © Tbhotch™ (en-2.5). 03:50, 15 October 2018 (UTC)
- From what I can gather, these were the filming of play as it took place that was then broadcast live. The modern equivalent would be something like Grease: Live or The Rocky Horror Picture Show: Let's Do the Time Warp Again. The latter is described in its lede as a "television film"; the former is described as a "television special", but I think the latter term was unknown in 1947, and it was certainly unknown in 1938. I think "(television) film" is the closest term to cover these. I'll note that this question has also been asked in NCTV – Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (television)#TV Plays – but no one else has chimed in there either. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 03:07, 16 October 2018 (UTC)
- Support - though the article references are non-existent on the first two articles, I do find them listed in multiple film encyclopedias, which I think is enough to justify the use of (film). -- Netoholic @ 16:27, 16 October 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose - The current disambiguations seem more accurate than referring to them as films. --В²C ☎ 17:56, 22 October 2018 (UTC)
- It's also non-standard. If not "film", then it has to be, for example, Love from a Stranger (1938 TV program). "TV play" is not a "thing" under WP:NCTV. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 13:30, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
- It's an odd/unusual thing, so it's not surprising that it's not in NCTV. That's no excuse to mislead, and referring to the first two as films is misleading. No point in following guidelines in a situation where the guideline is obviously inadequate. See WP:IAR. --В²C ☎ 17:18, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
- The present article titling is "obviously inadequate". There is zero good reason to not follow the guideline in this case – if people don't want "film" here (which I still believe is the best solution under WP:NCTV, and actually has sourcing support, as Netoholic points out above), then "TV program" is vastly preferable to the current situation, and actually follows the guideline. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 04:35, 24 October 2018 (UTC)

- Oppose per B2C. No point in stretching the guideline to situations it does not cover. The current disambiguators are perfectly WP:RECOGNIZABLE and WP:NATURAL. No such user (talk) 11:51, 31 October 2018 (UTC)
