editMariah didn't have a "nervous breakdown" as is written in the Sampling Controversy section. Who is writing all this crazy stuff? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.159.94.106 (talk • contribs) 12:41, August 18, 2005
Neutral descriptions
editIs there a source for the description "softcore pornography"? And how is that Cameo was just "blabbering nonsense"? On the CD inlay of the album Glitter, the Loverboy (remix) credits "Background Vocals: Mariah Carey, Mary Ann Tatum with ad libs by Cameo". Baby Bash 09:19, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
Claims the single was sold for 49 cents
editI deleted the line because 1) The link given was to a review of the Glitter movie and no mention was made of the supposed 49 cents. 2) It simply is not true. It is an old rumour that cannot be proven. The only claims are from blogs and tabloids, no legitimate news outlets. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.35.161.105 (talk) 03:15, 17 February 2014 (UTC)
- Someone has claimed "price cut", without any sources. I am deleting the line. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.35.161.105 (talk) 04:51, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
- The page was again vandalised by the same old "price cut" claim. I again removed it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.185.215.187 (talk) 04:53, 22 May 2015 (UTC)
The line somehow was either not properly deleted from the article when I deleted it on Feb 17th, or someone cleverly re-added it without it being noted in the article's revision history. (Lol.) So I deleted it again... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.35.161.105 (talk) 04:23, 23 February 2014 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Loverboy2.jpg
editImage:Loverboy2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

- Comments from AJona1992
- Infobox: "Release" needs a {{start date}} template
- Infobox: "Length" needs a {{duration}} template
- There's too many sentences with "the song" - needs a variety
- Why does "Following the release of "Loverboy"," is the first sentence of "Background and release"? Shouldn't it be who wrote it? who produced it? who mixed it? etc
- Also there's nothing in "Background and release" about the singles' release. Maybe considering on renaming this section would be suitable as it is largely based on Carey's hospitalization and criticism that followed.
- In "Composition" why is "Hook" capitalized?
- "Loverboy" is reminiscent of several of Carey ---> "Loverboy" is reminiscent of several of Carey's
- The Hartford Courant is a newspaper, so why isn't it in italics?
- Lead single (is wikilinked three times), Billboard (is wikilinked twice), NME (is wikilinked three times), Shawnna (is wikilinked twice), The Guardian (is wikilinked twice) and Britney Spears (is wikilinked twice)
- File:Loverboy (Feat. Cameo).ogg needs a "further rational" section. Look at File:Amor Prohibido.ogg as an example
- ""Loverboy" was me with generally mixed reviews from music critics;" - maybe this was left over when someone had vandalized the article.
- "in most major countries" - what is considered a "major country"?
- Per WP:ORDINAL (numbers greater than nine are commonly rendered in numerals) "On July 29, 2001, "Loverboy" debuted at number sixty-five" would need to be "On July 29, 2001, "Loverboy" debuted at number 65". Also with the next sentence and all others in this section.
- Please fix these before I do a spot check and reference checking. Happy holidays, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 01:55, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
- Fixed all issues since Nathan is on vacation. You can continue with the review - Saulo Talk to Me 21:33, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
- Can you please fix the lead, the three paragraphs now have "Loverboy" - needs a variety (Try variations like: The track, The single, The recording, It)
- Fixed all issues since Nathan is on vacation. You can continue with the review - Saulo Talk to Me 21:33, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
- Reference checking
- FN#19's title needs to be "Raidió Teilifís Éireann > Music Review > Mariah Carey - Glitter"
- FN#20 wikilink Erlewine, Stephen Thomas
- FN#25's title needs to be "RIAA > Certifications > Mariah Carey"
- FN#38 be consistent in weather or not you wikilink Tribune Company (compare with FN#11)
- FN#56 is the publisher Nielsen Business Media, Inc? or is it Prometheus Global media on FN#55? (If you take FN#55, which should be the publisher, make sure that media is capitalize to Media)
Please fix all of these, Jonayo! Selena 4 ever 22:10, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
- Done it all! :) - Saulo Talk to Me 01:42, 28 December 2011 (UTC)

Best-selling single of 2001?
editHow can this be true when the song is #88 on that year-end chart? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.225.112.44 (talk) 20:27, 9 April 2015 (UTC)
