Fixing the discography

edit

I see from this page that this is an issue that goes back 5 years. I have tried smartening up the list in the past - I've never seen on wikipedia any list that has (on top of poor formatting) info such as # 1 single Japan,South Korea,Tawiwan,no 1 album 2 x Platinum -Avex Rhythm Japan. or Album Top 3 Billboard 200 and GOLD in US.Cowritten and Produced.US Top 30 CHR/Top 40 radio-Gold.Nominated for an Emmy Award 2011. Upon studying the article history and contributions from those editors, a more suspicious person may think that there is a large amount of COI. Last time I tried a tidy up, my edits were reverted and this tagline was written in the edit summary box: (Why are you taking out productions i have done?-like Travie McCoy"Need You"?.It is not up to you what goes in.) Production credits

edit

This article is not a list to note every piece Secon may have contributed too, additionally we need cites for anything we do include.  little green rosetta(talk)

Edit Wars?

edit

To the recent editor: Perhaps the discography is verifiable, correct and complete. But you need to add references. Additionally, based on Bold, Revert, Discuss, you should really take your issues here to the talk page, rather than simply telling everyone else to take a hike. removal of discography

edit

I see the selected discography has returned with a number of sources (predominantly discogs, not an WP:RS. the random dump of any works as co-producer or co-writer or mixer is not encyclopaedic. removed as per WP:NOTCV. the first track i randomly recognised and fact checked (mos def - ms fat booty) does NOT have any connection with this artist. • Hi, I've just noticed this. I think it's inaccurate to characterize it as a 'random dump' as the selections were chosen specifically for their content. I would've thought that a referenced discography is a perfectly acceptable addition for any music producer/songwriter's page - and would actually be an expected part as it speaks to their notability for inclusion; and indeed there are existing producer/songwriter pages that do feature sometimes quite extensive discographies. This subject has clearly contributed to his particular field to an extent much greater than the current discography cut-off point of 2001 so I wondered: why was there a problem with the inclusion of later work? • I have re-uploaded the article subject image to the page as the last request for permissions seemed to have not been received. To this end, I have again contacted the author/photographer of the work, Thomas Christensen, to seek permission for use of the image. He has agreed to it's use on Wikipedia and to submit an image permission form to permisspermissions-commons@wikimedia.org. The request for confirmation to Thomas Christensen was sent on Nov/11/2016 so the image is currently OTRS Pending (time-dependent on the current OTRS authorised waiting list).
