I have three external links under References, and I would like to use these for inline citation, but I do not really understand how to use the editor to do this correctly, even after looking at the help file. If someone can help me, it would be much appreciated. HaakonME (talk) 19:27, 31 July 2013 (UTC)
- Try something like this: text<ref>[http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Lucifox_(software) Lucifox Talk]</ref>
- Which should look like this: text[1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jtowler (talk • contribs) 12:23, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
- I have added </ref> to the example... Christian75 (talk) 09:56, 3 August 2013 (UTC)
- Ahh, that's why I couldn't get it to the tildas I added. Silly me. Jtowler (talk) 18:58, 3 August 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks to both of you! The inline citations are now in place, and the list of references are created using {{reflist}}. What layout changes are needed? An infobox to the right with a screenshot, perhaps? HaakonME (talk) 15:26, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
- I have added </ref> to the example... Christian75 (talk) 09:56, 3 August 2013 (UTC)
drop #Release history section?
editI guess Wikidata is better suited for the bare list and important changes could be worked into a history section, written in prose and not formatted as a list.--Kulandru mor (talk) 16:42, 27 May 2020 (UTC)
