Naming conventions

edit

Hi Arnejohs,

The naming convention for wikipedia names is to use the most common name, the full name can always appear at the top of the article:

Ludwig von Bertalanffy gets 4,630 Google hits: [1]

whereas Karl Ludwig von Bertalanffy only gets 165: [2]

Using the more common name is important because it facilitates serendiptious linking. --Lexor|Talk 04:28, 4 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Got it. I just read through the naming convention and realized 'Ludwig von Bertalanffy' is the correct top. Arnejohs

Insertion of Canada into statement - 10 years of work in Canada during which time he published the most widely known works vs 6 years in the United States justifies this insertion. Removal of unsubstantiated trailing NPOV statement from main text. There may be a case to discuss his views regarding how he was treated at some later section of the article, if substantiated. 131.137.245.200 21:14, 14 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

the link for the source of "Mark Davidson", Uncommon Sense: The Life and Thought of Ludwig Von Bertalanffy, Los Angeles: J. P. Tarcher, 1983. is incorrect. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 156.3.153.1 (talk) 15:47, 12 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

An image of von Bertalanffy would be a good addition to this article. Nigellwh (talk) 11:23, 3 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
