The whole Bowser/Bowserbot type argument
This whole argument is getting rather out of hand. People who believe that King Boo is accompanied by Bowser's corpse, keep editing it to point the article towards this argument and the people who believe he is accompanied by a robot keep editing it to be biased towards this argument. Overall it is very confusing.
It is impossible to 'work out' which is correct, but the main arguments seem to be thus:
Madame Clairvoyer hints that bowser hes been killed, and has been revived by King Boo, (although this can be interpreted as Bowser was injured, or hiding).
The Bowser-thing is hollow, breathes ice and conjures mines, although this could either be Robotic weapons/adaptions or King Boo's magic/necromancy and creating a more comfy tanklike weapon.
A slit in the Bowser-thing's belly can either be interpretted as a zip for a constume, or a fatal wound.
As one can see, the argument is inconclusive, and so I think that both possibilties should be mentioned, but without bias, where the topis is brought up, and wherever it is mentioned only briefly it should be dubbed an "unidentified Bowser-like entity, possibly Bowser" or some such name.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by
A reason it's hollow is it doesn't really sound like Nintendo to show BOwsers insides.

Chronology
Looking at what happens within the Mario series, it doesn't seem that Luigi's Mansion is the last game chronologically. Rather, it looks like it takes place between Paper Mario and its sequel. In the original Paper Mario, there's a reference in Luigi's diary to his winning a mansion, and in Thousand-Year Door, there are references to the game "Luigi's Mansion" (such as a crow in Twilight Town proposing a website called "Luigi's Mansion," and another crow telling him that the name has been used already). So even if Bowser was dead before Luigi's Mansion, it wasn't permanent, and Luigi's Mansion isn't the "last game" of the series. Not to mention the fact that E. Gadd refers to the events of Luigi's Mansion in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga (for example, the "updated" Poltergust in Starbean's Cafe), a game that prominently features a very much alive Koopa king. 64.12.116.69 01:34, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
However, the Mario RPGs are viewed more as 'spin-offs' rather than part of the Mario 'storyline', if you believe there is one.
Then, Luigi's Mansion is a spin-off of the series and operates in its own timeline, thus the events in the game may have, but probably did not happened in the main series of Mario. This means, although E. Gadd first appeared on this game, his first canon appeareance was in Super Mario Sunshine. Leader Vladimir
he never appears in super Mario Sunshine
Luigi's mansion is part of Mario timeline. The other Mario game in timeline are:
Platform Games; RPG Games; Varius Donkey Kong games (1/Jr./3/'94); Mario vs. Donkey Kong Games; Yoshi's Island games (1/Story/DS); Wario Land 1 (NOT 2,3,4 and World) and Super Princess Peach.
Luigi's Mansion is a spin-off and just a spin-off. Besides, if it was in the Mario timeline, it would be between Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine.
Shouldn´t someone state that this is not normal Mario game circumstances? For the love of green rabbits, it´s Luigi saving the day instead of Mario. We should also say what happens to Mario and state that Luigi saves him. December 26, 2006
Sunshine - Mansion
Nowhere in Mario Sunshine does it even suggest that Luigi's Mansion has already happened. Removing
- Well, it DOES have E. Gadd... and does it reference either Mario & Luigi game? We know from E. Gadd's actions (And Luigi's reactions) that Mansion had already taken place for that. Not that it really matters, this is Mario, after all, not Zelda.--71.98.25.209 19:22, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
It doesn't have E. Gadd, It only has his products, he probrably made Fludd long before Luigi's Mansion took place
Storyline, manual text
Copying the entire story description from the manual might fall under fair use, but if there's a more free alternative (i.e., summarizing the story in original words), then it should be used. --Poiuyt Man talk 29 June 2005 17:27 (UTC)

Bowser?
To combat Bowser, the ghosts, and the Boos, ...this is stupid. Madame Clairvoya tells you this in her last vision. And it's not even actually Bowser. Removing. 70.25.138.179 02:44, 14 November 2005 (UTC) == Use Of King Boo.jpg == Why is Bowser in King Boo.jpg? 67.38.252.226GameMania
PAL Version
I think a little more info on the PAL version would be good. For example, I think there should be more details on how the boss fights are different in the hidden mansion.
Quick Question
On the King Boo page its says the mansion mirrors gambling because of card suits. How?Just cuz there are 4 wings?
If Super Princess Peach is in the Mario main series, shouldn't this be there too?
Horror?
The horror fiction article states that the "horror" genre is intended to "scare, unsettle, or horrify" the audience. In the Official Player's Guide, one part of an interview with the game's developers states:
NP (Nintendo Power): Did you intend to make the game scary?
MR. SUGIYAMA: No. We wanted Luigi to be frightened, but we didn't have any desire to scare players.
Thus, the game isn't in the horror genre. –Llama man 18:56, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
Around and around
Under the "Main Ghosts and Bosses" section, it refers to another article entitled "List of Luigi's Mansion ghosts" as an extended article. However, there's problem: "List of Luigi's Mansion ghosts" redirects right back to the main "Luigi's Mansion" article, thus starting a huge cycle that never ends.
Thus, the question is, do we make a new article entitled "List of Luigi's Mansion ghosts"? Or simply remove the reference to the non-existant article? Atsfrr3000 05:39, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- That article used to exist, but it was made into a redirect because it seemed like a walkthrough. I removed the link a few days ago. –Llama man 16:00, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
What if those ghosts were instead placed, with baddies similar to them. For instance, the Shy Ghost is obviously a Shy Guy ghost.
Sequel?
Someone's added to the trivia section that there will be a sequel to Luigi's Mansion on Wii, which I've never heard about. Can anyone confirm this? Theafroguy 11:51, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
mario dead?
while the other showed a depressed Luigi holding a flower. This was in the 'beta version diffrences' of the article... dosent that mean the unused graphics in the game disc itself means that well think: depressed Luigi holding a flower... i think in the beta version mario is found dead i mean mario is the guy hes looking for! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.208.56.190 (talk) 19:52, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

Plot section
I was just reading through the plot section of this game when I noticed, it's writtin in past tense, and appears as though it could be copied and pasted from some other site. I'll edit some of the words just in case. Defunct Lies 17:39, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
- No results on Google. Perhaps it's from the manual? Does need to be rewritten, though. Geoff B 17:45, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
- Well, I've re-worded it the best I can, I've never actually played the game so I can't go any further than I already have such as giving a description of the ending. Defunct Lies 20:41, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
- It is an example of copyright infrigment, please view article for more information.

Development Section
Why was all of this section basically killed? Lack of sources? There were some good nuggets of information on there that were properly sourced. Unless these kinds of sections are taboo on Wikipedia, then I don't understand why mostly everything was deleted.
Since the development section now only houses information on the PAL version of the mansion, shouldn't someone change the title to something more appropriate (like "PAL Version" or "Other Regions," something along those lines.)
Just curious - Zeek The Yoshi 03:42, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
Looking at the development section now, it only comtains a snippet about the E3 and Spaceworld demos of Mario Sunshine. Either A) The wrong name is given for this piece of information, or B) This does not belong in this article. Being far from knowledgable about the development of Luigi's Mansion OR Mario Sunshine, I'll let someone a little more knowledgable about the topic change it. Cmay632 (talk) 07:45, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
- It contains information about Luigi's Mansion, not Super Mario Sunshine. This article is currently under construction by me, and the development section will be extended with information from N-Sider. And info about when the game first was shown belongs here. See the FA Majora's Mask#Development. The Prince (talk) 14:26, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
Mecha?
Is the Bowser in the game really a mecha? I mean, I thought it was more of a suit that King Boo controlled using his otherworldly abilities, rather than a mecha, which is a mechanized or robotic unit.Leprechaun Gamer (talk) 22:06, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
GA on hold
- Unless the box art was really different in different parts of the world, in the infobx image caption isn't needed
- caption removed
- "title with Mario as the star." - what does "as the star" mean?
- changed to "starring Mario"
- Don't cite reviews in the lead, unless you are going to cite everything. WP:LEAD; everything or nothing.
- removed
- Refs other than the instruction booklet are good for gameplay. You can use anything; reviews/commentary, the game's website, even GameFAQs walkthroughs.
- you're probably right, but I've seen a lot of FAs using instruction manuals as refs. See for example FFVIII.
- Aaah, OK, that's fine. I generally edit computer game stuff (eg. Age of Mythology, my FA :)), and there we don't use instruction manuals ever (as far as I know). But if there's precedent it's fine. dihydrogen monoxide (H20) 05:49, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
- you're probably right, but I've seen a lot of FAs using instruction manuals as refs. See for example FFVIII.
- 3rd para of Gameplay section is unsourced
- sourced
- "all never to appear in the final release" - this should probably be sourced
- from my experiences of the game, I have never seen these features that were in the demo. I couldn't find any source proving this, except from the video itself from YouTube. But I guess I can't use that as a source.
- OK, that's fine. If it's contested though, you may need to remove it, but keep it for now. dihydrogen monoxide (H20) 05:49, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

- The reception section could be expanded to talk about each aspect of the game (according to reviewers). Check out some VG FAs for examples. It's OK for GA though.
- I added some comments by Famitsu, and Igordebraga added some content about the audio. Is that enough?
- Looking better. Again, compare Age of Mythology#Reception - a paragraph on each aspect etc. But again, it could be different for platform games. dihydrogen monoxide (H20) 05:49, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

- "All Game Guide meant that" - I don't think "meant" is the right word here
- changed to "declared"
- See Wikipedia_talk:VG#Quick_EL_note re. the external links (GameFAQs, MobyGames, etc.) at the bottom.
- GameFAQs and MobyGames removed
Leave a note on my talk page when done. Cheers, dihydrogen monoxide (H20) 01:16, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
- I think I, with help from Igordebraga, have satisfied most of the comments. Thanks for the input, and please let me know if there's anything else that needs to be improved. The Prince (talk) 14:09, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Cast
Shouldn't we add the voice cast to this article? Here is a link: [1] User talk:Mkalv —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.237.46.58 (talk) 22:37, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
- Again, IMDb is not a reliable source. Besides, the article mentions the cast sufficiently here. The Prince (talk) 22:41, 11 August 2008 (UTC)
