I've changed the translation of "el pulpo" from octupus to squid, having checked it on babelfish. The nickname was added by an anon and I don't know if it is accurate. Trugster | Talk 11:52, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Four lines for an error

edit

Seriously? Does an error -though important- deserve four lines among a dozen lines dedicated to his international career? It comes echoing a 80's Spanish press campaign to discredit Arconada's achievements and excelency, trying to promote other goalkeepers (mostly from Real Madrid) who weren't as good as the Basque goalkeeper was (and no one has never have got to be in the Spanish football League). This press also attacked Arconada for wearing white socks instead of the Spanish flagged ones that were worn by the rest of the Spanish team. But Arconada's greatness has withstood jealousy and discrediting campaigns, no matter what some Spanish 'journos' and anti-Basque fanatics say or write.
