Dates of Birth, Death
editMike Ashley (2000) is our stated source for the lead sentence. Does Ashley provide our stated lifespan "1865–1939"?
SFE3 states (quote two): born New York: 24 April 1863
- died New York: 26 December 1939
Momentarily I will update to match. Those two dates are now stated at WikiData Q6701110, apparently added October 2017 by a robot, citing four references: Project Gutenberg, SNAC, FAST, Trove.
Luis Senarens at the Internet Speculative Fiction Database, which follows SFE3, notes "Contemporary Authors provides a birth date of 1865-04-24." --P64 (talk) 17:52, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
