Jan or Feb?
editFebruary 66 is given in the article, however I have seen JANUARY elsewhere. Comments anyone? --MacRusgail 20:59, 5 August 2005 (UTC) It was launhed on January 31 1966- Mike N —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 12.171.146.74 (talk) 17:21, August 22, 2007 (UTC)
- moved by Gaff for clarity: "In response to the earlier comment on whether it was January or February: the launch was on January 31, 1966, the lunar landing was on February 3, 1966. My source is the book "Soviet and Russian Lunar Exploration" by Brian Harvey. NelsonLB 04:05, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Surface image is not NASA
editThe surface image has a NASA copyright. Obviously, that is not right. Mdrejhon 15:15, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
- From a quick Google image search, it looks like NASA re-distributed the pics, or at least put them on the internet.--DiogenesTheHobo 03:49, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

Has it been seen since?
editHave any modern lunar imagers (eg, Clementine) been able to see this, on the lunar surface? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:8003:E414:3A01:2C96:2D8F:C0DB:B506 (talk) 05:15, 10 June 2020 (UTC)
Early Development?
editIs there any information about the early development of this craft? This seems to be from a time where the space race was in the public eye. DVAzfc (talk) 17:56, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
