Missing information

Why doesn't this seem to contain a list of the stages, the criteria for being placed in those stages, and a quick summary of the treatment outcomes for each stage? Treatment for Stage I has a much better prognosis than treatment for Stage IV. WhatamIdoing (talk) 17:12, 22 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it does seem ironic that the article entitled "Lung cancer staging" doesn't actually have the lung cancer staging system in it. I previously created the article "Non-small cell lung carcinoma staging" three years ago with the staging listed. That article has since been renamed "Non-small cell lung carcinoma". So what would we be looking at? Two major classes of cancers, times several staging systems each? WhatamIdoing (talk) 02:56, 6 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

TNM material needs to be here I think. May get to it. Needs to be updated on all related articles, and I have done just a little in the Non-small cell lung carcinoma article to get it started.FeatherPluma (talk) 17:18, 24 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Altho I did not add the actual copyright TNM descriptors or groups, I added accessible links to that information, as well as some content on what it generally means.FeatherPluma (talk) 17:18, 24 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

And Stage 4 Lung cancer means what?

edit

This article desparately needs help to serve the average Joe. Cancer staging describes a Stage 0-4 system and there is no mention of it whatsoever here. What do these stages means for lung cancer? Why does this article pay more attention to the development of categories and diagnosis than to the categories themselves? D O N D E groovily Talk to me 16:12, 18 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Good suggestion. On it. Will add stage groupings, as well as survival statistics (from Rami-Porta and 2007 Goldstraw) and also a simplified outline of Rx options based on stage if I can get to it.FeatherPluma (talk) 18:46, 3 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
