Place name "Lucerne" vs. "Luzern"
editAt the moment this article mainly uses the former, which is the name by which the city is best known in English and in accordance with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Swiss_municipalities/Article_title_conventions
That policy, though, refers to titles for main articles about the locality. For this article I believe we should use "Luzern" throughout, for the following reasons:
- The city canton and all surrounding ones are German speaking.
- All signs, station names and documentation use the German name exclusively - it is never referred to there as "Lucerne".
- The official name of the line, used correctly in the title, is "Luzern-Stans-Engelberg Bahn".
Any comments before I go ahead and do so?
Map
editI've added this - information from OpenStreetMap, Google Earth and local knowledge. There is lots of detail (all bridges and level crossings are included), but I think this gives a good picture of the character of the line. Some of the detail could be hidden by collapsible sections if necessary.
