Contradiction between two references

edit

Hello,

I would like to notify a contradiction between two books used in the references section. The first one, Spierenburg, Petrus Cornelis (1998). Men and violence: gender, honor, and rituals in modern Europe and America. Columbus: Ohio State University Press. pp. 240–247. ISBN 0-8142-0752-9. OCLC 37432851., is used in the Lynching section to explain that the Sheriff tried to help Anthony Crawford before his death.

The second book, Bethel, Elizabeth Rauh (1997). Promiseland, a century of life in a Negro community. University of South Carolina Press. pp. 110–111., has a different version where Anthony Crawford was already dead when the Sheriff found him.

Here is the page 110 of the book Promiseland, a century of life in a Negro community Here is a link to the book Men and violence: gender, honor, and rituals in modern Europe and America. The relevant pages are pp. 245-252.

Thank you for reading it and modifying the page accordingly if necessary,

Crawford’s land and holdings

What happened to all of his land? Did they give it back to the family? Or was the apology all they felt they should do? 2601:58B:A7F:93D0:6D8A:FF54:DD89:87E3 (talk) 16:24, 22 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
