- Comment: File:Sign (8872028086).jpg can also be used as an image. Its former popularity as a destination for cruising might also make a good hook, though others may disagree.

- The phrase "one of the only" in the proposed hook is illogical. It could be "one of a few" but is not the only such wetland. The claim is dubious since other wetlands along the north shore of Lake Ontario in Durham Region include the Rouge River estuary, Frenchman's Bay, Duffins Creek estuary, the Second Marsh in Oshawa, and McLaughlin Bay within Darlington Provincial Park. Lastly, being one of a few is not as interesting for a hook. Flibirigit (talk) 01:45, 3 August 2021 (UTC)

- @Flibirigit: Alt hooks added. Morgan695 (talk) 16:43, 3 August 2021 (UTC)
- Great, I will have a look later tonight or tomorrow. Flibirigit (talk) 17:02, 3 August 2021 (UTC)
- ALT1 and ALT2 are both good to go. The wording "one of the only" still needs to be corrected in the "History" section and ALT0. If you want to propose a hook on cruising, please do. The more hooks the merrier. Cheers. Flibirigit (talk) 20:49, 3 August 2021 (UTC)
- @Flibirigit: Aligned article copy to better align with the source claim that
Both the Lynde Creek Marsh and Cranberry Marsh provide many important functions that are typical of the few remaining coastal wetlands found along this northern section of the Lake Ontario shoreline.
I've struck ALT0 because I don't think a modified version would be interesting. Morgan695 (talk) 15:30, 4 August 2021 (UTC)- Approving ALT1 and ALT2. Each hook is reasonably interesting, properly mentioned and cited in the article, and verified by the sources. Article now adheres to all DYK criteria. Flibirigit (talk) 19:01, 4 August 2021 (UTC)
