Observations and suggestions for improvements
editThe following observations and suggestions for improvements were collected, following expert review of the article within the Science, Tecnology, Society and Wikipedia course at the Politecnico di Milano, in June 2020.
The PEGylation reaction can be discussed with more details. First, a kinetic scheme would improve the readability. Then, the author only considers the reaction between the aldehyde and the lysine residue while other mechanisms can be exploited to functionalize the lysozyme with PEG chains (e.g. succinylation). Nice discussion about the chromatographic techniques for the product characterization.
