Signage
editI was actually in the East Lansing area yesterday and I saw that M-143 is now signed. 18:15, 30 June 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 107.47.127.194 (talk)
- Thank you, but we need a source that isn't personal observation. However, the policy on original research would allow us to take a photograph of the new signage, and cite that. If I can get that way tomorrow, I'll take a photo to upload and place in the article. Imzadi 1979 → 00:42, 1 July 2013 (UTC)
Route
editThe article (through the description and map) doesn't match-up. I see in Bing Maps shows M-143 beginning where Michigan Avenue becomes a boulevard in Lansing/Lansing Township, but the description seems to say it begins at the Lansing-East Lansing city limits, which is quite a few blocks to the east. So, which is it, and can someone clarify this? --Criticalthinker (talk) 08:48, 10 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Criticalthinker: state trunkline status starts at the city line; MDOT transferred jurisdiction of M-143 within the City of Lansing back to the city in 1989, so if Bing Maps is showing it within Lansing, they are in error. Imzadi 1979 → 11:38, 10 August 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks. The funny thing is that even the accompaning map on the article here doesn't quite fit the description showing the highway longer than it is. East Lansing starts quite a bit east of what the map is showing. --Criticalthinker (talk) 12:05, 10 August 2016 (UTC)
- I've requested a new/updated map using the link for such purposes in the banner above, Criticalthinker. Imzadi 1979 → 13:52, 10 August 2016 (UTC)
