  • "The highway passes the airport...", what is the airport's name?

That is the one problem that needs to be fixed before I pass the article.--Dom497 (talk) 13:50, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

"The highway runs past the Brooks Field airport..." was already in the article... Imzadi 1979  22:28, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
The lead should have the airport name, not just "airport".--Dom497 (talk) 23:14, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
The lead is a summary of the article. If we included every detail from the body of the article in the lead, why would be bother to write the article? Imzadi 1979  23:32, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
By including the name of the airport your not including every detail of the article...--Dom497 (talk) 23:35, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, but we have to leave some items out of the lead, and the fact that the highway passes an airport is more important than the name of the airport. If this were Detroit Metropolitan Airport or another facility with passenger service, I might agree, but Brooks Field isn't going to be a recognizable name. Leaving that detail to the body of the article is fine. Imzadi 1979  23:38, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
There, I made a small change from "the aiport" to "a airport" that makes a little more sense when not using the name of the airport.--Dom497 (talk) 23:44, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
Except that "a" is not grammatically correct in front of a word that starts with a vowel. I've reverted the change. Imzadi 1979  23:49, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
