So, how does it differ from the infantry carrier
editThe infantry carrier can seat a squad of 10 dismounts in the back in addition to the gunner and driver. it has a remote weapons system that can mount a m2 .50 or mk 19 40mm grenade machine gun. the recon version can only seat 5 comfortably in the rear and has an LRAS and a crew served weapon that is not remotely operated. (gunner has to stand out of the hatch to shoot.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lobo4806 (talk • contribs) 12:22, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
The Canadian Armed Forces fields a reconnaissance vehicle that is also a derivative of the Mowag Piranha.
It has a telescoping 10 meter reconnaissance mast, with radar, infrared and visible light sensors, so it can observe a battlefield while hiding behind a hill, or a building.
What makes the American vehicle different? Geo Swan 14:37, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
