editI have expanded this page a little bit, wrote briefly about its history. I own a Remington M1917 bayonet which is why I was interested in expanding this page.
I am not exactly sure but I believe I heard that the bayonet will fit on a 1903 Springfield and M1 Garand because the M1905, M1917 and M1942 all have the same type of mounting holes and clips. I read about this weapon a few years ago so I am not sure about this. If not, please edit the article.
