Talk:M3 (Copenhagen Metro)

Is it really neccessary to have a separate page for this? Daen 09:51, 24 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Although it's not a large article by now, I believe it can become among the bigger ones. There is an official report of which most of its more than 30 pages could be written about here.

Fair enuf - M1 and M2 have their own pages, so I guess the nascent Ring should too. Daen 14:57, 24 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
Speaking of which, shouldn't this be moved to M3, since it's only commonly called "The City Ring", and then mention it's popular name in the M3 article?
It is possible. The "problem" is that The City Ring will serve both M3 and M4-lines, and most people use "city ring" - even the metro personal and homepage.
Well, the M3 is The City Ring. The M4 is just going to relieve The City Ring until it gets to be a line in its own right, and then the two lines will be like the M1 and M2 from Vanløse to Christianshavn. Ghent 17:33, 30 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
Besides, the municipalities of Frederiksberg and Copenhagen have decided on the Frederiksberg line, so I updated the article to reflect this. Ghent 17:13, 24 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
The article is a good idea. Extending the Copenhagen Metro has been a matter of political debate for a long time. Both the cities of Copenhagen and Frederiksberg as well as the government has committed itself to its creation. When constructed, it will become one of the most expensive infrastructure projects in Danish history. The name does need fixing, but I'm not sure of the best way since M4 will also run on this track. Perhaps a redirect to this article from both M3 and M4? Valentinian (talk) / (contribs) 13:01, 11 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
I think this article should be moved to M3 and then discribe in the article that it serves as a so called "City Cirle Line" or a loop line. Just like other articles about Metro systems' circle lines. Check the disambiguation for Circle Line. And M4 should also have it's own article where it could be described that it follows M3, which serves as a circle line. --Urbanscape (talk) 23:17, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
The map in the article is not updated; it was decided in May 2014 to extend M4 in the southern direction to Ny Ellebjerg — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.105.183.199 (talk) 17:57, 3 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Cost

edit

Why is the cost of construction given in euros — was the original figure not in crowns? David Arthur (talk) 16:37, 11 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Somebody must have used an international source, but the relevant currency must be the crown. The amount is 15 billion kr. [1] Valentinian T / C 22:06, 11 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
