Letters

edit

The added arabic text for the Letters is the Arabic for King, which is pronounced "Malik". However I went through the Malik national website and could find no indication that the arabic text is used in any way.Naraht (talk) 15:03, 16 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

The user User:Drmies is suggesting removing some links from the page and User:Editmaster429 has tried to put them back. We should reach a consensus about this before edit warring.

Both users have reverted the page 3 times and we don’t want to violate WP:3RR. 2A04:CEC0:C017:74F2:452F:B1EF:92C9:A70C (talk) 01:10, 21 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

  • No, we should not add a sock farm to an article, or a directory of chapters. Drmies (talk) 01:11, 21 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
    • I think I agree that the fourth and fifth links are spurious, but the first three links reasonably direct the user to the subject discussed in the article.2A04:CEC0:C017:74F2:452F:B1EF:92C9:A70C (talk) 01:13, 21 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
      • So part of your big revert was incorrect. Plus, read WP:EL. That "Committee for Social Justice", why should that be linked, when it's already in one of the "references"? Same with the "Foundation"--and it's not even the subject of the article (see WP:ELMIN). That leaves the "Sisterhood"--which also is linked in a kind of "reference" (which also indicates it's linked on the main website). In other words, you're 0 for 3 in the current lineup, and you have yet to address the other part, that directory. Drmies (talk) 01:29, 21 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
This is not about personal opion because WP:EL defines what should be included. It says websites of organizations mentioned in an article should be avoided. In WP:ELMINOFFICIAL, it says "Normally, only one official link is included. ..Wikipedia does not provide a comprehensive web directory to every official website."
